Altaira continue to be committed to providing the highest quality of service and are passionate advocates for the aged care and community industries, as well as the recruitment sector. Altaira’s Directors Gaynor Giro and Jelena Giro have been instrumental in enhancing Altaira’s growth, enabling the organisation to expand with the Allied Health Division and Allied Health and Wellness Centre. Altaira is recognised as a market leader in South Australia and beyond, and has a strong reputation for providing quality Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, Personal Care Workers, Hospitality and Cleaning staff for both short term and long-term placements to a range of valued clients nationally.
The expansion means that now Altaira’s highly specialised Allied Health and Wellness team of clinicians can provide the highest quality holistic and evidence-based care. Their range of services, which suit companies’ or individual’s needs, include: Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Return to Work Rehabilitation, Pre-Employment Functionals and other vital services to the Aged Care and Community Sector, but also to the wider community.
“Our client relationships are our top priority, and last year, we identified that our clients were requiring an increased number of allied health professionals for short and long-term placements. We saw that in order to continue meeting the needs of our clients and the wider community, we would need to expand and evolve our organisation. Therefore, we appointed a dedicated Allied Health and Wellness Operations Manager, Michael Zoumaras, who is leading the new Division with a focus on holistic client-centered care and meaningful rehabilitation outcomes,” shares Jelena Giro, Director of Altaira.
“Michael empowers Altaira staff to be highly proficient across different fields of physio and occupational therapy, to assist them to become more well-rounded health professionals and in turn, be able to provide a higher quality service to our clients.”
Altaira have a strong focus on professional development, and their staff and clients will be encouraged to utilise the new Centre’s Aged Care Specific Training Room to embrace the many opportunities to further their learning, empowering them to raise industry standards and ultimately improve the quality of work and care that they can provide. Equipped with the latest aged care equipment, it allows for all using this facility to shift the focus from theory to practical experience and continued growth of knowledge in the industry.
“One of our strategic achievements over the years that I am truly proud of is, as result of setting strong foundations within the business, it has enabled us with the ability to continuously evolve when the market and industry shifts. This ability to evolve was vital more than ever due to the unpredictable nature of the pandemic. The last 18 months have highlighted that Altaira are well equipped to handle unforeseen challenges. During 2020, as the pandemic spread, our biggest impact was the ability to continue to provide our high-quality services to the community. We are proud that despite such uncertainties, we still have experienced significant commercial growth. This growth means we are now able to offer an extensive range of services to our clients and the community without sacrificing what we truly stand for; compassion, care and responsibility,” highlights Jelena Giro.
The new Centre is now open, and Altaira is seeking highly motivated Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to join them as they continue to grow their Allied Health team. New graduates and experienced clinicians are encouraged to apply for ongoing casual/temporary roles, as well as contract and permanent placements.
