MEDIA RELEASE
Adelaide, June 2021: National labour hire agency based in Adelaide, Altaira, has announced the opening of their new Allied Health and Wellness Centre, which aligns with the needs of their clients and the wider industries they work within. The Centre is an exciting initiative to support Altaira’s recent expansion of an Allied Health Division. Situated adjoining to their current premises, this space is being transformed. In addition to the Allied Health and Wellness Centre, it will also include a dedicated Aged Care Specific Training room.
Altaira continue to be committed to providing the highest quality of service and are passionate advocates for the aged care and community sectors, as well as their own recruitment sector. Leading the team Altaira’s directors Jelena Giro and Gaynor Giro, have been instrumental in enhancing Altaira’s growth, enabling the organisation to expand with the Allied Health Division and Allied Health and Wellness Centre. Altaira is recognised as a market leader in South Australia and beyond, and has a strong reputation for providing quality Nurses, Personal Care Workers, Hospitality staff and Cleaning staff for both short term and long-term placements to a range of valued clients nationally.
The expansion means that Altaira’s highly specialised Allied Health and Wellness team of clinicians can provide the highest holistic and evidence-based care, with a range of services to suit company or individual needs including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Return to Work Rehabilitation, Pre-Employment Functionals and other vital services to the Aged Care and Community Sector.
“Our client relationships are our top priority, and during 2020, we identified that our clients were requiring an increased number of allied health professionals for short and long-term placements. We saw that in order to continue meeting the needs of our clients and the wider community, we would need to expand and evolve our organisation. Therefore, we appointed a dedicated Allied Health and Wellness Operations Manager, Michael Zoumaras, who is leading the new Division with a focus on holistic client-centred care and meaningful rehabilitation outcomes,” shares Jelena Giro, Director of Altaira.
“Michael empowers Altaira staff to be highly proficient across different fields of physio and occupational therapy, to assist them to become more well-rounded health professionals and in turn, be able to provide a higher quality service to our clients.”
Altaira have a strong focus on professional development, and their staff and clients will be encouraged to utilise the new Centre’s Aged Care Specific Training Room to embrace the many opportunities to further their learning, empowering them to raise industry standards and ultimately improve the quality of work and care that they can provide. Equipped with the latest aged care equipment it will allow for all using this facility to shift the focus from theory to practical experience and continued growth of knowledge in the industry.
“One of our strategic achievements over the years that I am truly proud of as a result of setting strong foundations within the business it has enabled us with the ability to continuously evolve when the market and industry shifts. This ability to evolve was vital more than ever due to the unpredictable nature of the pandemic. The last 18 months have highlighted that Altaira are well equipped to handle unforeseen challenges. During 2020, as the pandemic spread, our biggest impact was the ability to continue to provide our high-quality services to the community. Many businesses had to shut their doors, many businesses had to stand all their employees down.
We at Altaira therefore felt extremely proud and lucky that we were able to keep our doors open, keep jobs safe and continue to do what we love. We are proud that despite such an uncertain 2020, we still have experienced significant commercial growth. This growth means we are now being able to expand and offer an extensive range of services to our clients and the community without sacrificing what we truly stand for; compassion, care and responsibility.” highlights Jelena Giro.
To further support their growth, the organisation has also launched a new website, featuring their fresh new branding, which enables a more user-friendly digital experience for their clients and staff, and streamlines processes. Check it out here www.altaira.com.au
